19. As a very experienced programmer, i don't care if a language has 2 or 3 less lines of code in a function. I value the maintainability and robustness of the code, the IDE assistance, the availability and maturity of libraries, cross-platform capabilities, etc. For serious enterprise work nothing I found makes me more productive than Java and Vert.X. Fantastic performance, scalability, multi-threading without the usual complexity, etc. For other specific cases (such as desktop applications and service) I use C or Python. Chose the right tool for the job, don't follow the trends like inexperienced programmers who chase the "popular thing". Remember that node.js/javascript/react/angular were the popular things and went to such a level of absurd complexity that even their creators are questioning if that's the right way of doing things.

I'm currently learning C and yes C is easier to learn than python and python has much more limitations than C, C++, and java. you can do just about anything with C and C++. java is also hard to learn and requires much more set up than C and C++. python doesn't require much set up. its just java that is complicated. C, C++, and python are all naturally built into most linux distros. to get the .Net framework on Linux and Mac takes a bit of set up like java. but for windows it is easy to get .Net, and C/C++ compilers running. I don't use python unless its for smaller operations in a bigger program.
